Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO)- Gastonia, NC
Advanced Prosthetics is growing across central & northern South Carolina (Greenville, Columbia, Spartanburg, Anderson) and the Charlotte–Gastonia, North Carolina area. We’re Amputees Serving Amputees—a compassionate, patient-first team delivering custom prosthetic and orthotic care.
The Role
Provide comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care from evaluation through delivery and follow-up—partnering with patients, families, and referring providers to achieve excellent outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Review referrals, histories, and orders; educate patients and families.
- Evaluate, design, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices within scope of practice.
- Document medical necessity clearly and efficiently in the EMR.
- Select components, coordinate/fabricate devices, and perform quality checks.
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure patient/referral satisfaction.
- Contribute to a safe, professional clinic; support light marketing/business development.
- Participate in shared after-hours call as needed.
What You’ll Need
- Current CPO (ABC or BOC) required; eligibility for SC/NC licensure.
- Clinical proficiency across evaluation, fitting, alignment, and follow-up.
- Sound judgment, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Team mindset and genuine compassion for patients.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel between clinics when needed.
