Joe Jones, CPO

Bio

Joe Jones, BOCCP, BOCCO, has been a practitioner at Advanced Prosthetics since 2011,  Some of my specialties include pediatric orthotics, such as AFO's and TLSO's, upper extremity prosthetics and lower extremity prosthetics.  I enjoy helping new amputees learn to walk again, and get their lives back with their new prosthetic devices.  Patient care is important to me, and I understand how important it is to listen to their needs.  As a practitioner, you need to be a partner in their care and strive for the best long term outcomes. I enjoy working with our veterans and take pride in giving back to them.  I became certified in orthotics first, and then prosthetics through the BOC after many years of clinical training and hands on experience.  Our field requires working with your hands throughout the entire patient care process from casting, to fabrication, and ultimately fitting the custom devices. In addition to my clinical experience, I have an educational background in engineering which I believe gives me an advantage in visualizing and designing bio mechanically correct and dynamic devices for each patient's specific wants and needs.

• What are your interests or hobbies outside of work? I have four kids, and I am almost an empty nester. We stay busy on my off time with our small farm.  We have chickens and a horse, and there is always work to be done!  I enjoy being outdoors, especially primitive camping and fly fishing.
• What do you love about being part of this practice? The ability to utilize superior products, parts, and devices.
• Any fun facts you’d like your patients to know? I have a mini farm with a horse named Duke
